Are Kids Allowed?

Yes, the Washington Suite with its two bedrooms is perfect for a family. A roll-away bed is also available for kids 12 and under for a fee of $25 per night and can be set up in the Chocorua Room or the Kearsarge Room.


Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs as guests. If you are traveling with your dog and need a place for him/her to stay we would be happy to recommend a local dog boarder for you.


I have a food allergy or dietary restriction; will I be able to eat breakfast?

Of course! We are happy to adjust our menu to provide you with a delicious breakfast to suit your needs. Please let us know in advance so we have plenty of time to be sure we have appropriate ingredients.


Is there a TV in my room?

Yes, in addition to the television in the guest living room with a selection of movies for your use during your stay, all of the bedrooms have televisions setup with a selection of streaming services. If you need any help navigating Roku during your stay please let us know and we will be happy to walk you through it.


What can we do at the inn if the weather has required us to change our plans?

There are movies, books, and games available for your use in the living room as well as high-speed WiFi.


Is there a place we can store our gear?

Yes! The barn is secure and has plenty of space for you to store your outdoor gear for skiing, hiking, and other activities during your stay. Please note, we are unable to store snowmobiles inside the barn.


Are the rooms handicap accessible?

Unfortunately, all of the guest rooms are located on the second floor and are only accessible by stairs.  We are happy to assist you with your luggage.


Is there private parking?

Yes, we have plenty of parking. There are two spaces near the sidewalk at the front of the driveway and additional parking at the end of the U-shaped driveway by the barn.


Is there a place to eat dinner nearby?

Yes, there are a number of restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. You can find a list of the restaurants here and in the guest room book in your room.


What if I have to cancel my reservation?

We require a one night deposit for stays of one to three nights, and a deposit of one-half your stay for extended reservations. We will promptly refund deposits of cancellations that are made more than 14 days prior to your arrival, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. In the event of a cancellation occurring less than 14 days prior to arrival, your deposit will be forfeited unless we are able to re-book your room for the length of your original reservation. 


What time can I check-in and when is check-out?

Check-in is after 3:00 pm. Please notify us if you will be arriving after 9 pm so we can best assist you in getting to your room.
Check-out is at 11 am.
Early check-ins and late check-outs may be available for an additional rate.


Is there smoking allowed in the rooms?

No, there is no smoking allowed in or near the house. There is a $250 cleaning charge for smoking within the White Gables Inn.
